Now is the time for residents of the Exchange to really push for development of an open Portage and Main. Remove the concrete barricades, they are not just an architectural eyesore but a psychological dividing line, our streets have been turned into a parking lot for the SHED. The Market Square area is now a dead wasteland, all the benches have been removed from the East Exchange area to stop people from lingering in the area. This area has to be redeveloped into a welcoming historic area that flows into the downtown through Portage and Main. This is my neighbourhood and I want it back.

    I second that Heather!

We saw the same thing happen when city hall was built and that horrid mall on Portage Ave. Enough with the barriers.
